The story of Cotton Candy.

The story of Cotton Candy.

Some ideas come to us after plentiful research and good insights. Some arise from personal experiences.

Cotton Candy wasn't any of these. It's not a a favorite sweet. I sure do like sweets. But I love more chocolate-y sorts. Mousse. Or a pudding. Cotton Candy was a quick study. Here's a a sweet with aesthetic appeal towards children, at least when it was first made. That was a different time. But I've come to observe people around me still cherish these thoughts. One can be an adult and still enjoy a cotton candy, right?

So Cotton Candy as a lamp was also a fast project. Its pretty much the first prototype that turned into the final product. Pink isn't my color. I mean its not one of my regular colors. But its characteristic with cotton candy all over the world.

I've been surprised to see what its called around the world. Some say 'cotton candy', some say 'candy floss'. this is British I believe. 'Fairy floss' in Australia. In French its what translates to say 'daddy's beard'. In Hindi, its called 'Boodhhi Ke Baal' which translates to 'old lady hair'.

Anyway. people have liked the product quite a lot. Suggestions came in to add more colors, and I did. One in blue and one in white which makes a nice soft pastel-y cluster of lights.

And then I did another exploration beyond this in more colors. But that is a topic for another time.
